That's okay! What better way to delve into hiking than with a supportive group? The course is beginner-friendly. There are rolling hills, and we cover about 3 to 5 miles each day. Want to know what to expect? Look here.
That's okay! You don't have to consider yourself a writer to explore your thoughts through journaling. If writing isn't your thing, there are other ways to express yourself: take photos or color a picture. Everything we do in the workshops is an invitation, not an obligation.
No gear? No problem. If you don't own gear, this shouldn't be a barrier to participating. Sharing and renting supplies is encouraged! We have a packing list to get you started.
Absolutely. When the list of attendees is confirmed, we will create a forum for gear sharing and ride sharing. Stay tuned for more details!
Safety is a top priority in the backcountry. I (Lindsay) take many precautions for safe experiences and tend to be cautious on the trail. I travel with a Garmin InReach device that allows for communication with the outside world. I carry a basic medical kit and am CPR certified.
In April, we can expect daytime temps in the 60's and overnight temps in the 40's. No bugs at this time of year! We'll hike rain or shine (but adjust plans if weather looks severe). Check out the packing list for tips on preparing for the elements.
